One of the best parts of Halloween is the delicious treats. You’re probably thinking of candied apples, candy corn or anything chocolatey and sweet (to be honest, that sounds so good right now). Whip up some scary snacks that will get you and your family in the Halloween spirit. Here are five recipes that are scary good.

1.     Apple monsters

These little critters couldn’t scare anybody. They look so cute and taste so sweet – and are super easy to make! Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

·        1 Green Apple

·         2 Tbsp. Peanut Butter or Almond Butter (choose one)

·         2 Strawberries

·         24-28 Sunflower seeds or Almond slivers

·         Edible candy eyes (or make your own!)

Directions:

1. Cut the apple into quarters.

2. Lay the apple quarters down and cut a 1-inch wedge in the middle of the peel side of each quarter. Do not cut all the way through because you want each quarter to stay in one piece. It will look like a mouth.

3. Cut the strawberries in slices, lengthwise, so that you have 4 pieces.

4. Spread peanut butter on the button of each mouth, inside the cutout.

5. Place a strawberry inside the cutout to resemble a tongue sticking out.

6. Poke 6 or 7 sunflowers into the top edge of the cut out to resemble teeth.

7. Place edible candy eyes on top and serve immediately. Enjoy!

2.    Frozen BOO-nana pops

We wouldn’t want to get on a ghost’s bad side, but these ghosts wouldn’t hurt a fly! You can make ghost-shaped frozen treats using only four ingredients: a banana, white chocolate, mini chocolate chips, and popsicle sticks. Check out this recipe if you’re interested!

5.     Spiderweb pizza

No one likes being caught in a spiderweb – ugh! But if the web was made of pizza, maybe that wouldn’t be too bad. Creating your own pizza is a fun activity and great for the little ones to join in! They can add the finishing touches – the spiders! Not real ones, just black olives. Here is this recipe!
