Living in a home with nothing on the walls is like eating a meal with no seasoning. Bland. Sometimes, your space just needs a little spice and adding fun wall decor is a great place to start – especially when you don’t have the time or extra cash to paint. Here are some fun ways to bring those boring white walls to life and upgrade your wall décor.

 Hanging Mirrors

Mirrors are one of our favorite ways to decorate an empty wall. At the moment, we’re going through a hanging mirror phase, and the circular ones hung with a rope are our absolute favorite.  Not only are they very stylish and modern, but they serve a purpose (checking out your cute outfit for the millionth time that day, obviously). Consider adding hanging a mirror in the entryway to greet your guests.

Metal Artwork

Iron designs are a great and fun way to jazz up your space (think metal script art that says ‘But First, Coffee’ in your kitchen). Similar fun sayings can go in your living room, bathroom and bedroom. Interested in something you can customize? Check out these cuuuute silver letters that light up and can be hung on the wall. These are perfect for a child’s room, especially if you use their initials.

If you’re not a text person, you can usually find really cool metal artwork pieces at your local street market for super cheap!

Colorful Canvases

An easy way to create a more modern, artsy look is to ditch the framed art and opt for a canvas instead. From beautiful landscapes to inspirational quotes, there are options to complement every style. Who doesn’t want to come home to a relaxing beach photo? We may not have our feet in the sand, but it’s nice to have a piece of paradise at home. Or, if you’re aiming for a more minimalist feel, channel your inner artist and try some colorful or geometric shapes to give off a chic vibe.

 Floating Shelves

Floating shelves are really trendy right now and we can’t get enough of them. They work in almost every space and provide some super helpful storage space for your books, plants, antiques, picture frames… and the list goes on and on.  If you’re up for a challenge, check out this DIY floating shelves video.
