Let’s be honest – who has ever said that they had a great night’s sleep on a futon? But they are extremely convenient since they provide seating and a place to sleep at the same time. With a few small changes, you can take your futon game up a notch.

1.       Add a Mattress Topper

Your futon probably needs a little somethin’ somethin’ to make it a bit more comfy to sleep on, mattress toppers are the best way to make sure your guests have a great night’s sleep. Just slip a fitted sheet over it and you’re good to go.

2.       Big Body Pillow

Extra cushion never hurt anyone! Add a big body pillow that goes across the back of the futon to help your guests lounge in. Next time they sit on it, they’ll want to lay on it for days. Interested? Check out this link to our fave pillow.

*Quick tip – there are covers for body pillows so grab one that matches your futon or décor!

3.       Sheets and Blankets

Once the futon is converted into a bed, it’s always good to make sure it has the essentials of a real bed – a fitted sheet, regular sheets and a blanket. Here are some plush blankets that would be a great addition.

4.       Futon Slip cover

To add some flavor to your futon, use different colored slip covers to match your décor. This allows you to mix and match, especially when you’re having people over for a fun event. And the best part is, you can take it off and throw it in the wash when you’re done!
